Greetings in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ!

Meet Pastor Frank

I'm Pastor Frank Kauzlarich. It is my privilege to serve with the community St. Paul Lutheran Church. Our mission statement is "St. Paul Lutheran Church is a welcoming family bringing Christ into people's lives by developing, educating, nurturing and supporting disciples".  As a Pastor of an Evangelical Lutheran Church in America congregation, I am called to 'teach, preach, administer the Sacraments rightly and equip the saints for ministry.'  The 'equipping of the saints,' speaks profoundly to making and growing as disciples of Christ, which is at the core of our mission statement.

I've served with this community since December of 2014. Prior to serving with the people of St. Paul, I interned at American Lutheran Church in Grand Junction, Colorado and served as Pastor of St. John Lutheran Church in Wausau, Grace Lutheran Church in Green Bay and Good Shepherd Lutheran Church in Howard, all in Wisconsin. I graduated from Carthage College and Luther Northwestern Theological Seminary.

Some of my passions in ministry include worship planning and leadership, preaching, and teaching, especially the Gospel of Luke, the healing stories and parables of Jesus, and concerning our response to God (stewardship). It is a joy to be 'out and about' visiting people where they live their lives.  I have a great admiration for the life lived by Dietrich Bonhoeffer and for his theology and writings.

My wife Anne ('nee Wilterding) and I were married in 1984. She has strong and long roots in Door County. Our son Mark lives in Brooklyn, New York where he is based as a freelance photojournalist.  Anne and I enjoy visiting Mark and being visited by him.  In my 'spare time,' I enjoy being with family. Recently, I rediscovered golf, and I enjoy viewing Door County and Wisconsin art.
