Meet the Pastor
Mission Statement

Our mission statement is "St. Paul Lutheran Church is a welcoming family bringing Christ into people's lives by developing, educating, nurturing and supporting disciples."  As a Pastor of an Evangelical Lutheran Church in America congregation, I am called to 'teach, preach, administer the Sacraments rightly and equip the saints for ministry.'  The 'equipping of the saints,' speaks profoundly towards making and growing as disciples of Christ, which is at the core of our mission statement.

Pastor Frank has served with this community since December of 2014. Prior to this, he interned at American Lutheran Church in Grand Junction, Colorado and served as Pastor of Saint John Lutheran Church in Wausau, Grace Lutheran Church in Green Bay, and Good Shepherd Lutheran Church in Howard, all in Wisconsin. He graduated from Carthage College and Luther Northwestern Theological Seminary.

His wife Anne, a Door County native, were married in 1984. Pastor Frank and Anne have a son, Mark, a freelance photojournalist in Brooklyn, New York. During his 'spare time,' Pastor enjoys being with family and playing his newfound hobby of golf. He also enjoys the comforts of Door County, while admiring various local Wisconsin art works.

Pastor Frank Kauzlarich

"It has come with great privilege, to serve with the community of Saint Paul Lutheran Church."

Some of my passions in ministry include worship planning and leadership, preaching, and teaching, especially the Gospel of Luke, the healing stories and parables of Jesus, and concerning our response to God (stewardship). It is a joy to be 'out and about' visiting people where they live their lives.  I have a great admiration for the life lived by Dietrich Bonhoeffer and for his theology and writings.
